Seeking Participants for a Research Study:

Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP case study)

You are invited to participate in a research study about the transfer of entrepreneurship practices within family businesses. This research project is being conducted by Holly Slay Ferraro of Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics.   The purpose of this study is to develop a better understanding of how family businesses pass on “entrepreneurial thought and action across generations”.  For the purposes of this study, family businesses are self-identified and have the following two characteristics (1) is in at least the 2nd generation of family ownership; and (2) family holds the largest or dominant block of voting shares.

Participation in the study involves interviews with 4-6 (or more if possible) strategically relevant members of the family business who are involved in decision making.  Interviews will be conducted by the primary researcher (Holly Ferraro) and will typically take between 1-2 hours.  If you choose to participate, please contact me through email at ferraroh@seattleu.edu or by phone at 206-296-5719.
